According to a report by the CNBC News in the USA in 2021, young people aged 20 to 24 are facing an unemployment rate of 10.3%.
According to statistics in Vietnam, there are currently more than 700 universities, institutes and colleges across the country training many different professions. However, the labor force after fresh graduation has not completely met the practical requirements of the jobs in the labor market. Many students find it difficult to define their career goals, have feeling of being vague about their own abilities and capacities, and do not know what kind of jobs they are suitable for. The rate of graduates who are unemployed or working in a job that is totally different from what they studied is still high. In other words, the gap between the quality of fresh-graduated human resources and the needs of the labor market is still very large, leading to labor productivity in Vietnam is still limited in comparison to the world.
Young people in rural, remote areas and ethnic minority areas still lack many opportunities to study, access technology, develop career skills, seek employment opportunities and develop their careers compared to those in big cities.
In order to contribute to narrowing the above gap, Viet Hoi Nhap Human Resource Development Company (Viet Hoi Nhap) was established in October 2022 with the goal of becoming a championing social enterprise in supporting the career development of fresh graduates and working people, with a focus on the disadvantaged youth in difficult circumstances, in remote and mountainous areas. We have 5 programs as follows: Development of Working Skills, Career Orientation, Digital Literacy, Preparation for Career Development, and Education Promotion Fund.
